..Regarding the IPCC’s ‘Fourth Assessment Report’
According to a June 29th Heritage Institute News Release “….the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has released the expert review comments and responses to its latest assessment of the science of climate change.”
Apparently this has never been available to the public before. The IPCC Reports are the primary source of data for the climate change alarmists who claim that the consensus of the scientific community is solidly behind their catastrophe conclusions.
It is worth taking a look at the review comments from the very scientists whose work contributed to the report. Notable are the scientists whose critiques of the report are consistently rejected. At the top of the list, in Chapter 9, of scientists whose criticism is routinely rejected are Dr. Vincent Gray, followed by Michael Manton.
The U.S. Government’s concerns and suggestions are treated more diplomatically, but are also among the top rejected submissions for clarification of the report’s language.
Most of the concerns revolved around language that overstated the claim being made or ignored terms that would clarify the uncertainty of a probable predicted affect.
I saw this particularly in Chapter 9; Understanding and Attributing Climate Change
If you find yourself frequently engaged in conversations about whether Climate Change catastrophes are real or imagined and whether the consensus is settled, I highly recommend taking the time to read through some of this information.
